Dona Paula, also known as “Lovers Paradise”, is a must-visit with your partner. Located 7km from Panjim, this famous touristy beach provides a breathtaking view of the Arabian sea and Mormugao harbour. Historically this place is named after Goa Viceroy’s daughter Dona Paula de Meneze. This place is an honour and a symbol of her heartbreaking love story with a local fisherman. Her father, the Viceroy, was against the marriage and therefore wrecked in pain; she decided to jump from the cliff and thus was named Dona Paula.
This place is also popular among movies and can be seen in Singham and Ek Duje ke Lye.
